May 08, 2018
GE Aviation in Clearwater Florida was recently awarded elite supplier status from Sikorsky for work on the UH-60 Black Hawk aircraft. GE was one of 19 suppliers recognized by Sikorsky’s leadership team during a ceremony in West Palm Beach, Florida for achieving elite supplier level of performance.

“It’s a major accomplishment to be recognized by Sikorsky and to achieve Rotary and Mission Systems elite supplier status,” said Alan Caslavka, president of Avionics for GE Aviation. “Our employees are proud to receive this recognition.  We are committed to continuing this level of performance and to surpass last year’s metrics.”

GE Aviation achieved Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Elite Supplier status after demonstrating exceptional quality, delivery and customer support performance for the data transfer systems on Sikorsky’s UH-60 Black Hawk aircraft. Sikorsky is part of Lockheed Martin Corporation’s RMS business.

“GE Clearwater truly believes that our customers determine our success,” commented Sterling Leaven, Clearwater site leader for GE Aviation. “Receiving such a prestigious award from Sikorsky reflects our passion and commitment of ensuring that our customer’s experience from a quality and delivery perspective is best in class.”

To attain Sikorsky’s elite supplier status, a company must supply best-in-class performance in achieving on-time delivery, cost and quality standards in 2017.
