With a robust backlog of commercial engines and services contracts at $209 billion and growing, GE Aviation is at the Paris Air Show focused on a growing list of commitments. Additionally, CFM International, a 50-50 joint company owned by GE and Safran Aircraft Engines, had reached a backlog of $255 billion in LEAP engine orders and commitments prior to the air show. Day 3 — Wednesday, June 19, 2019

• GE Aviation Sets $55 Billion Order Record at the Paris Air Show
  GE Aviation and CFM International, a 50/50 joint company between GE and Safran Aircraft Engines, announced a record setting $55 billion in jet engines, services, avionics and digital offerings at the Paris Air Show this week.


• CDB Aviation places $1.3 Billion LEAP-1A order
  CDB Aviation is a wholly owned Irish subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co., Limited (“CDB Leasing”). This is the CDB Aviation’s second LEAP-1A engine order. In November 2016, the company selected LEAP-1A engines to power 100 percent of its first batch of A320neo aircraft. Today’s order takes its LEAP-1A/A320neo fleet to 90 aircraft.


• Nordic Aviation Capital and GE finalize TrueChoice Flight Hour agreement
  Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) and GE Aviation finalized a TrueChoice Flight Hour agreement for its CF34-10E engines fleet. Under the agreement, NAC will offer GE Aviation-provided maintenance, repair and overhaul services to its CF34-10E lessees. NAC is the industry's leading regional aircraft lessor serving over 76 airline customers in 51 countries.


• Volga-Dnepr Group and GE Renew Global Strategic Partnership
  Volga-Dnepr Group and GE Aviation renew their strategic partnership that utilizes the two companies' unique strengths and expertise to develop collaborative solutions to benefit each company and their customers.


• GE Aviation and Lufthansa Technik Sign 777X MRO Cooperation Agreement
  GE Aviation and Lufthansa Technik AG have signed a maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) agreement under which Lufthansa Technik will be GE’s authorized service provider for the backup generator/converter (BUG and BUC) and for certain Electrical Load Management Systems (ELMS) components on the new Boeing 777X aircraft.

Day 2 — Tuesday, June 18, 2019

• AirAsia, CFM Sign $23.1 Billion Order
  AirAsia and CFM International today finalized an agreement for the purchase of 200 LEAP-1A engines to power the airline’s 100 Airbus A321neo. The airplane order and intent to purchase the engines were announced in July 2016.


• Avolon Increases LEAP-1A Engine Portfolio with $2.06 Billion U.S. Order
  Dublin-based international aircraft leasing company Avolon today announced it has selected CFM International's LEAP-1A engine to power an additional 70 Airbus A320neo aircraft. The order is valued at $2.06 billion U.S. at list price.


• SMBC Aviation Capital Orders Additional CFM LEAP-1A Engines
  SMBC Aviation Capital, one of the world’s largest aircraft leasing companies, announced it has ordered forty CFM International LEAP-1A engines to power 20 additional Airbus A320neo aircraft. The engine order is valued at $588 million U.S. at list price.
  


• GMF AeroAsia Expands CFM56 Overhaul Capability with New CFM Agreement
  Indonesia’s PT Garuda Maintenance Facility AeroAsia (GMF AeroAsia) and CFM International today signed a Material Service Agreement. Together with this Materials contract, the current CFM56-7B license agreement for overhaul has been extended for an additional five years and a new five-year license for CFM56-5B overhauls added.


• CFM, Macquarie Finance Close $588 Million U.S. LEAP-1A Engine Order
  CFM International has finalized an order with Macquarie Airfinance Group Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Macquarie Group Limited, for LEAP.


• Azorra Aviation Signs New Set Maintenance Offer Agreement for CF34-10E Engines
  Azorra Aviation and GE Aviation signed a Set Maintenance Offer (SMO) agreement for its CF34-10E engine fleet to help significantly reduce the engine's cost of ownership. The SMO agreement is available to all CF34-10E customers, regardless of their maintenance, repair and overhaul provider.


• United Airlines Selects CF34-8E-powered E175 Aircraft
  United Airlines has signed an agreement with Embraer to purchase 20 firm ERJ175 aircraft, with the option to purchase 19 additional ERJ175 aircraft. These aircraft will all be equipped with GE CF34-8E5 engines. The engines from this firm order are valued at more than $250 million (USD) at list price.


• GE Aviation's Avionics Business Rates #1 Vendor for Aftermarket Support
  GE Aviation’s Avionics business has been ranked as the number one vendor for aftermarket support in the 2019 Airline Aftermarket Customer Satisfaction Survey.


• Royal Air Maroc Welcomes Additional GEnx-powered Boeing 787-9 Aircraft
  Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is celebrating the delivery of two additional GEnx-1B-powered Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. The deliveries bring RAM's GEnx-powered B787 Dreamliners to nine aircraft.


• Leonardo Signs MOU with GE Aviation for Digital Transformation of Support Business
  GE Aviation and Leonardo today signed a partnership Memorandum of Understanding to continue developing and implementing digital transformation across Leonardo’s operations in the UK and to jointly develop digital products to open new business opportunities.

• IndiGo Places $20 Billion LEAP Order
  IndiGo announced today that it has ordered CFM International LEAP-1A engines to power 280 Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft. The contract, which includes spare engines and an overhaul support agreement, is valued at more than $20 billion U.S. at list price.


• Colorful Guizhou Airlines Signs LEAP-1A Rate-Per-Flight Hour MOU
  Colorful Guizhou Airlines has signed a 12-year Rate-Per-Flight-Hour MOU with CFM International for the LEAP-1A engines that will power the airline’s future fleet of at least 15 leased Airbus A320neo aircraft, valued at approximately $500 million U.S. at list price.


• Peach Aviation Places $294 million LEAP-1A Engine Order
  Peach Aviation Ltd. (Peach) and CFM International today signed an agreement for the purchase of 20 LEAP-1A engines to power the airline’s new fleet of Airbus A320neo family aircraft. The agreement is valued at $294 million U.S. at list price; the aircraft were ordered in 2016.


• S7 Airlines Signs GE TrueChoice Agreement for CF34 Engines
  S7 Airlines and GE announce the signing of a seven-year TrueChoiceTM Flight Hour service agreement to cover the airline's fleet of CF34-8E engines that power its 17 Embraer E170 aircraft. The TrueChoice Flight Hour agreement covers the maintenance, repair and overhaul of the engines and is valued at more than $85 million over the life of the agreement.


• Cyber-Security Approval for Avionica's aviONS Onboard Server
  Avionica’s integrated Onboard Network Server, called aviONS, has been granted FAA approval for Cyber-Secure Connectivity and Application Hosting. The Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) amendment now provides operators with a secure connection for internet browsing over cabin broadband systems and enables secure application hosting.


• Qantas and GE Aviation Collaborate on New Module of FlightPulse App for Airline
  Qantas and GE Aviation have announced plans to develop a new module for FlightPulse™, a digital application to improve safety and operational decision making for airline pilots.


• Zhejiang Loong Air Signs LEAP-1A Rate-Per-Flight Hour Agreement
  Zhejiang Loong Air has signed a 12-year Rate-Per-Flight-Hour Agreement with CFM International for 32 firm and 8 option LEAP-1A engines powering the airline’s leased fleet of Airbus A320neo/A321neo aircraft.


• GE Aviation and SWISS Sign Agreement for FlightPulse
  GE Aviation has teamed up with Swiss International Airlines (SWISS) as their partner in an EFB flight safety project implementing Flight Pulse™ amongst their pilot community. The project aim is to evaluate its effect on further improving the pilot's performance.


• Avionica to Offer Cost-Effective Aircraft Terminal for Inmarsat's Operational and Safety Services
  Inmarsat, the world leader in global mobile satellite communications, today announced that Avionica, part of GE Aviation, will develop a new cost-effective, lightweight terminal for Inmarsat's award-winning SB-S aircraft operations and safety platform.


• Avionica Receives vSTC for miniQAR, avRDC and avCM
  Avionica has received Validation of Supplemental Type Certificate (vSTC) from EASA for its miniQAR MkIII Quick Access Recorder (QAR), avRDC Remote Data Concentrator and avCM 4G Cell Module. The vSTC from the European Aviation Safety Agency covers more than 300 aircraft models and opens the door for additional aftermarket sales opportunities to install Avionica products on European-based aircraft.


• GE Aviation Awarded Contract for Boeing's MQ-25 Unmanned Tanker for the U.S. Navy
  GE Aviation has been awarded a contract by The Boeing Company to supply a stores management solution for the MQ-25 unmanned aerial refueling program.


• GE Aviation delivers 20,000th Flight Management Computer for Military and Commercial Aircraft
  GE Aviation has delivered the 20,000th flight management computer for military and commercial aircraft marking 35 years of continuously advancing the technology for flight crews.


• GE Aviation and Avation Plc Sign Asset Transfer System Agreement for Leasing Market
  GE Aviation and Avation PLC today announced an agreement to provide the AirVault Asset Transfer System across the lessor’s fleet of ATR72 turboprops, A220-300 A320 and A321 narrow-body jets, Boeing 777-300ER and Airbus A330-300 twin-aisle airplanes.


• Envoy Air Signs GE TrueChoice Agreement for CF34 Engines
  Envoy Air Inc. expanded its TrueChoiceTM service agreement with GE Aviation to cover its entire fleet of CF34-8E engines that power the 84 Embraer E175 aircraft that are currently operating and on order.


• CFM and the LEAP Engine: Delivered What We Promised
  CFM International’s advanced LEAP engine continues to set a new industry standard for fuel efficiency and asset utilization as the fleet continues the most rapid buildup in commercial aviation history, with the fleet logging nearly five million engine flight hours through May, less than three years after commencing commercial service.
