Day 4: July 19

• Uganda National Airlines Company orders CF34-powered Bombardier CRJ900s
  Uganda National Airlines Company ordered four CF34-8B-powered Bombardier CRJ900 regional jets. The engine orders are valued at more than $50 million (USD) list price.


• 3TOP Aviation Services receives a custom built used CF6 engine through GE TrueChoice Transitions
  GE Aviation delivered a custom built used CF6-80C2 engine to 3TOP Aviation Services late last month as part of its TrueChoiceTM Transitions agreement.

Day 3: July 18

• Air Lease Corporation selects GEnx engines for additional Boeing 787 Dreamliners
  Air Lease Corporation selected GEnx-1B engines to power its three new Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The engine order if valued at more than $170 million (USD) list price.


• GE Aviation joins Wing of Tomorrow Programme
  GE Aviation, through its Hamble aerostructures business, in partnership with Airbus U.K., GKN and Spirit Aerosystems, is proud to support the development of a next-generation, high rate-manufacture wing on the Wing of Tomorrow programme.


• Republic Airlines orders CF34-8E-powered E-jets
  Republic Airlines ordered 100 CF34-8E-powered Embraer E170/175 regional jets. The engines are valued at more than $1.4 billion (USD) list price.

Day 2: July 17

• GE completes proposal submission for U.S. Army's Improved Turbine Engine Program
  GE Aviation submitted its Improved Turbine Engine Program (ITEP) technical proposal last month, which is the second and final phase of its Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) proposal to the U.S. Army. GE is offering its T901-GE-900 engine for ITEP, the U.S. Army’s endeavor to re-engine its Boeing AH-64 Apaches and Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawks.


• Royal Air Maroc selects GE Aviation for Digital Records Management
  Royal Air Maroc has selected GE Aviation’s Digital Solutions business for AirVault Records Management System for its fleet of more than 55 Boeing 737, 767, 787, 747, ATR and Embraer ERJ-190 aircraft.


• CFM and Aviation Capital Group announce order for LEAP-1B engines to power 20 additional Boeing 737 MAX aircraft
  CFM International and Aviation Capital Group LLC (ACG) today announced an order for LEAP-1B engines to power 20 additional Boeing 737 MAX aircraft just announced. CFM values the order at U.S. $528 million at list price.


• CFM International, Aviation Capital Group announce order for additional LEAP-1A engines
  CFM International and Aviation Capital Group LLC (ACG) today announced the selection of LEAP-1A engines to power 10 firm Airbus A320neo family aircraft.  ACG has also secured the option to purchase 18 additional LEAP-1A engine shipsets to power Airbus A320neo family aircraft.  This firm engine order is valued at $300 million U.S. at list price.


• Volga-Dnepr Group and CargoLogicHolding sign agreement for addition GE90-powered 
  Volga-Dnepr Group and CargoLogicHolding, signed a Letter of Intent for 29 GE90-115B-powered Boeing 777 Freighters and five GEnx-2B-powered Boeing 747-8 Freighters. The engine order is valued at more than $2.5 billion (USD) list price.


• Colombian Air Force and GE Aviation Sign Digital Asset Performance Management Agreement
  The Colombian Air Force (COLAF) signed an agreement with GE Aviation to provide a comprehensive digital asset performance management solution for their fleet of Military aircrafts. The agreement includes functional support and consulting services to help refine asset performance management work processes, allowing the Colombian Air Force the ability to better manage maintenance programs.


• Boeing has Awarded GE Aviation Contract for AH-64 Avionics Systems
  Boeing has awarded GE Aviation a contract for avionics systems on the AH-64 Apache. The contract includes hardware delivery of the pylon interface unit, load maintenance panel and maintenance data recorders for the AH-64. Deliveries take place May 2018 through December 2022.


• LEVEL selects CF6 engines for its Airbus A330 aircraft
  LEVEL placed an order for CF6-80E engines to power its two new Airbus A330 aircraft and signed a 10-year TrueChoice Flight Hour agreement for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of the engines. The engine order and TrueChoice agreement are valued at more than $170 million (USD) list price and over the life of the service agreement.


• Nordic Aviation Capital and GE Sign MOU for TrueChoice Flight Hour for CF34-10E Engines
  Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC), the global leader in regional aircraft leasing, and GE Aviation signed a memorandum of understanding for a ten-year TrueChoiceTM Flight Hour agreement for its CF34-10E engines fleet. Under the agreement, NAC will offer GE Aviation-provided maintenance, repair and overhaul services to its CF34-10E lessees.


• Comair Limited signs $160 million CFM56-7B RPFH agreement
  South Africa’s private domestic airline operator, JSE-listed Comair Limited, has signed an eight-year Rate Per Flight Hour (RPFH) agreement to support is fleet of 16 CFM56-7B engines. The agreement is valued at $160 million U.S. at list price.


• ASTRAL Project Begins Manufacturing Trials and Tests
  GE Aviation, through its Hamble aerostructures business, working with the University of Nottingham and in partnership with Airbus Helicopters, continues to progress with the development of the wing for the Airbus Helicopters Rapid And Cost-Effective Rotorcraft, Codenamed RACER which was unveiled at last year's Paris Airshow. This venture is made possible through the funding and support provided by the Clean Sky 2 Joint Undertaking.


• Starlux, CFM conclude long-term LEAP-1A service agreementSTARLUX and CFM International concluded a long-term service agreement to support the airline’s fleet of leased Airbus A321neo aircraft powered by the advanced LEAP-1A engine. The agreement, which includes the purchase of one spare engine, is valued at $220 million U.S.


• Loong Air and CFM sign $500 million support agreement for LEAP-1A & CFM56-5B engines
  Zhejiang Loong Airlines today signed a long-term Rate Per Flight Hour agreement with CFM International to support its fleet of LEAP-1A and CFM56-5B engines. The agreement is valued at $500 million U.S. at list price.

• GE Aviation Signs Agreement for Future Systems Studies with Kookmin University
  GE Aviation and Kookmin University, Seoul, Korea have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to study various future systems, procedures and possible uses for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV).

Day 1: July 16

• GE Aviation and Microsoft Partner to Drive Digital Transformation for Airlines
  GE Aviation and Microsoft announced they are joining forces to accelerate digital transformation of Aviation, aimed at delivering more robust solutions for the industry.  GE Aviation’s Digital Solutions business is building on the broad capabilities of Microsoft’s Azure, combining GE’s data and analytics domain expertise, with the scale of Microsoft Azure.


• Vistara signs LOI for additional CFM LEAP-1A engines
  Delhi-based Vistara Airlines and CFM International today signed a Letter of Intent for the purchase of 26 LEAP-1A engines to power 13 additional Airbus A320neo aircraft announced July 11 that are part of the airlines ambitious expansion program. Once finalized, the engine order will be valued at $375 million U.S. at list price.  In addition, Vistara has secured agreements for 37 additional leased aircraft that will also be powered with the LEAP-1A engine. The leased aircraft orders were previously announced.


• Ethiopian Airlines selects GEnx engines to power its additional Boeing 787 Dreamliners
  Ethiopian Airlines selected the GEnx engine to power its six additional Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. This selection increases Ethiopian Airlines’ GEnx-powered B787 aircraft to 19 total.


• Austrian Airlines and GE Aviation Sign Digital Solutions Agreement for Growing Fleet
  Austrian Airlines has renewed and expanded an agreement with GE Aviation to provide Flight Operations Quality Assurance (eFOQA) software and technologies across its fleet of more than 80 aircraft.


• Hongtu Airlines, CFM sign $400+ million engine/RPFH agreements
  Yunnan Hongtu Airlines and CFM International have signed an agreement for the purchase of CFM56-5B engines to power three Airbus A320ceo aircraft.

• GE Aviation and Teradata expand partnership
  GE Aviation and Teradata (NYSE: TDC) today announced that GE Aviation will become the exclusive provider of Teradata products and services for commercial aviation markets, providing the world's biggest airlines with a single, comprehensive framework that combines high-performance analytics in the cloud from Teradata with edge-connectivity services from GE Aviation.


• Arkia Israeli Airlines signs 12-year TrueChoice Flight Hour agreement with GE Aviation
  Arkia Israeli Airlines signed a 12-year TrueChoiceTM Flight Hour agreement with GE Aviation for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of its CF34-10E engines that power its three Embraer E190 aircraft.


• GE unveils Open Avionics demonstrator to unlock innovation and reduce costs
  GE Aviation is highlighting new approaches to Avionics, and its commitment to innovation, with the showcasing of an integrated open avionics demonstrator in its pavilion P2 at the Farnborough International Air Show. In the form of a fully functional open systems flight deck, the demonstrator incorporates the hardware, tools and infrastructure to support a range of connected software applications.


• 2018 CFM orders surpass 1,370 engines through June
  2018 orders for CFM International’s two product lines have remained strong through June, with the company booking orders for a total of 1,371 engines, including 65 CFM56 engines (military and spares) and 1,306 LEAP engines (including commitments and spares).


• The LEAP Engine: 10 years on 
  On July 13, 2008, CFM International’s parent companies, GE Aviation and Safran Aircraft Engines, made history by launching the advanced LEAP-X engine program.  Ten years later, this engine is delivering everything that was promised that day and more.
